Max McGowan

Max McGowan, the owner of Highway 401 Storage, is pictured here with his assistant and faithful companion, Rory.

Max graduated from Marquette University and completed a post graduate certification in marketing at Harvard Business School. Early in his career, Max worked as the Sports Information Director at Marquette under coach Al McGuire, as well as for Newsweek magazine as a Sports Reporter. Max then worked in advertising for 12 years until 1982 when he opened his own ad agency in Chicago. In 2005, Max sold the agency to his employees, moved to Pinehurst, NC and built Hwy 401 Storage facility. He was thrilled to find Teresa Sprankle, who manages the facility, and her husband Stanley, who is in charge of maintenance. Teresa and Stanley are special people due to the terrific customer service they provide, and due to the fact that they are such fine people.

Teresa Sprankle- Site Manager

From Brockway, PA.  Married 38 years to high school classmate Stan Sprankle.  They have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Teresa served as military spouse for 11 years.  She worked for AAFES distribution center in Giessen, Germany 1991-1993.  They moved to the Raeford, North Carolina area in 1993, where Teresa served as a Store Manager for Quick Mart Convenience Store Chain. Teresa accepted the position as Site Manager at Highway 401 Self Storage Facility in May 2007 and has been exceptionally happy serving the Raeford community in that capacity ever since.
